On the fateful day of March 5, Garrison was found in his home in Flagstaff, Arizona. The cause of death, revealed a few months later, was suicide, with the Coconino County Medical Examiner stating that he died from a gunshot wound to the head, accompanied by ethanol intoxication, or alcohol poisoning. His blood alcohol level was shockingly high, at .307% and .370% in vitreous blood.

It was Garrison’s brother, Gabriel, who discovered him, a devastating moment that has undeniably left a lasting scar on the family. Janelle, in a sorrowful Instagram post, confirmed the tragic news alongside Kody Brown, stating, “Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown. Everyone who knew him felt better because of him. Our lives will be so much worse without him. It takes our breath away. Please know that our privacy is important to us and join us in remembering him.”

Garrison, along with his many siblings, was first introduced to the world in 2010 through the family’s reality show on TLC. Over the years, he became a familiar face to the show’s fans, appearing multiple times on Sister Wives.

Generally, we tell our kids to call 911 if they ever need help. But one child took the lesson to a completely new level!

The child was experiencing problems with his homework, so he made the decision to call for help. Since 911 was the only number he knew, he took up the phone and dialed it. Is it true that the people listed on this number are ones that need help? Indeed. I think he was right someplace, too.

The operator who was answering began asking the standard questions. Following a lengthy period of miscommunication, the operator discovered that the child truly had difficulty with math problems.

Boy: I do require assistance.

Operator: What’s wrong?

Boy: Using my arithmetic.

Operator: Using your lips?

Boy: Not using my math. I must complete it. Are you going to assist me?

Operator: You’re right, I understand. But where do you live?

Boy: No, I’d rather have a phone conversation with you.

Operator: I’m not able to do it. I can dispatch another person to assist you.

The truth is, however, that while some people find them fun, others hate them. The reason why is that riddles, particularly the more challenging ones, are rather frustrating as the answer is hard to pinpoint or find right away. At the same time, they quite often require unconventional reasoning, which some of us consider confounding.

Ryan Bray, a kind-hearted individual, always tries to help those in need. One Sunday, on his way home from work, he encountered a panhandler begging for change on the street. This sight was not uncommon in his neighborhood. Feeling compelled to make a bigger difference in the man’s life, Bray approached him with an offer.

Instead of simply giving spare change, Bray proposed giving the man a chance to work for his family business with a wage of $15 per hour. However, to his surprise, the beggar scoffed at the idea, rejecting the proposal outright. He failed to see why he should work when he could make more money by begging.

As Bray considered offering a higher wage, the man’s reaction became hostile. It seemed that Bray’s proposition challenged his complacency and threatened his view of a life where money came without effort. Offended by the beggar’s response, Bray decided to take matters into his own hands.

Returning home, Bray quickly made a sign of his own. He then went back to the same street corner where he publicly condemned the panhandler for his laziness and lack of ambition. Although Bray is generally kind-hearted, he felt compelled to make the beggar understand the consequences of his choices.

The homeless man, who preferred to remain anonymous, spoke to reporters in Florida and claimed that Bray had lied about offering him a job. He simply wanted help to escape his life on the streets. According to him, every penny earned from begging is an opportunity to slowly improve his circumstances.

However, Bray remains resilient in his version of events. Holding his sign that urges motorists not to give money to beggars, he stands firm in his belief that by stopping the community from financially supporting them, these individuals will be compelled to leave the neighborhood.

Bray sees the beggar’s insult as an opportunity to change people’s perspectives and encourage them to stop contributing to the problem. The incident, where the beggar reached into his vehicle asking for money, only reaffirmed Bray’s resolve.

Yesterday we wrapped our lookbook shoot for BODYPOP – my new high fashion, high intensity activewear line.

We’re also a few days into our music video shoot before we wrap that too. Never have I ever produced anything of this caliber (I’m usually in front of the cam, not behind it) and I’ve been riding this HUGE learning curve. Tough stuff. However, I’m blessed that I’ve had talented friends and amazing people in the industry step in to help us out with valuable advice or work with us side by side. Everybody involved has brought their expertise to the table in order for us to make my original vision come to life.

It’s so cool literally turning your thoughts, your dreams, your ideas into reality. AH I can’t wait for you to see everything. Some of these designs literally were from my original sketchbook from college.

Now, I want to talk about something else.

Today I posted a picture with 2 lovely ladies who helped me model the collection.

Then it came. The barrage of commenters saying that they were “disappointed” that I didn’t use “real women” to model my line.

Real huh? Well…one is actually a Blogilates fan and the other is a friend from college. I can also assure you that I hugged both of them and they didn’t magically disappear into thin air. They were made up of molecules that constituted a legitimate female human being. They were in fact, real.

But now I am going to dig deeper. Because I know that what we are really talking about here isn’t the definition of the word “real” but the interpretation of what it means to be a “real woman” in today’s society.

Let’s take a look at this picture. Can you tell me which person you think looks most “real” to you?

Or shall I ask it like this: Which woman represents the “average American woman” best?

According to statistics, today’s average American woman is 5’4”, has a waist size of 34-35”, and weighs between 140-150 lbs with a dress size of 12-14. About 50 years ago, the average American woman was 5’3-4” with a waist of 24-25”, a weight of 120 lbs, and a size 8 dress size. I don’t even need to get into vanity sizing, but that size 8 from fifty years ago is not what a size 8 is today. It is actually a size 4. The US Department of Commerce dropped it’s uniform sizing system in 1983, so designers can do whatever they please in order to make women feel smaller and buy more clothes.  So the takeaway here is that the average dress size fifty years ago was a size 4 and now it is a size 14.

Now that we’ve established that the average person has gotten bigger and heavier throughout the years (due to lack of movement, the increase of fast food, larger portion sizes etc.), we can talk on a level playing field. Are you mad that I didn’t choose to showcase models that represent our “average US woman” which really is a huge red flag that something needs to be done here? Today over 30% of the world is overweight or obese. That’s 2.1 BILLION people. There’s 7 billion people in the world.

Between 1980 t0 2013, rates of being overweight soared 28% in adults and 47% in children.

That’s scary.

Guys, this is a real problem. Our next generation is going to be unhealthy, riddled with diseases, and immobile if we don’t do something about this now. First we need to take care of ourselves, but as we get older and have children of our own, we need to teach them how to make the best choices for themselves. YOU HAVE TO BE THE CHANGE. Show them that veggies are yummy and that playing outside is better than video games and being stuck on your computer. Kids don’t grow up wanting mac ‘n cheese and soda. Someone feeds it to them. I’m not 100% blaming the parents because I know that the media and the food industry has a lot to do with marketing these sugar-laden things to our kids. They don’t want to see sales go down, so they will do whatever they can to continue mesmerizing us into buying their products.

You guys all know that I am a huge advocate of loving your body and reaching your best potential regardless of your shape, size, color, background etc. It has nothing to do with how small your waist is or how big the distance between your thighs are. It has nothing to do with how you look. It has everything to do with who you are.

You, I, Monique and Alyssa – we are ALL real women.

We all strive to represent fit, active, healthy people who work hard to look the way we do and feel the way we do. Let me make this clear too: We are not here to represent the “average woman”. Nope. Because I don’t want to be average. I want to be the best version of myself and I hope that you want to be the A+ version of yourself too.

In the above paragraph, I just want to clarify that I didn’t mean I don’t want to ever show size 14 women. I mean in a motivational sense, I want to showcase women who are strong, beautiful, and unstoppable. Women who go beyond average and push their own boundaries regardless their size. The use of the word “average” swaps a little in that paragraph.

The reason why Blogilates even exists is because I want to ignite the strength, the power, and the beauty that every woman has within. Together, we are all here to inspire everybody to get up, get fit, and have fun while doing it.

So let me get back to Monique and Alyssa. My girls aren’t photoshopped to create a look that is unattainable and they aren’t starving themselves or practicing unhealthy and dangerous habits to get their bodies. (Trust me, we ate lunch together and they finished the whole thing.) I don’t want to have to defend them but when people are putting down my friends, it’s not okay. Ever. They are human, they have emotions, and they probably read those comments too.

Everyone has a talent to share with the world. Your job is to find it and WORK IT. Turn that talent into your career…your passion…your contribution to the world.

Monique and Alyssa are models. It is their career and my goodness, they are killin’ it. I am so proud of them and so happy to know them. Monique was on America’s Next Top Model, walks runways internationally and Alyssa is getting her Masters right now in Education.

The other part of the argument is that y’all wanted to see more body types. I TOTALLY get that. For this shoot though, I was not able to financially afford many models other than the two (just so you know from a business standpoint how decisions were made). You want women with big boobs, short legs, long torsos, broad shoulders, huge bubble butts? You want to feel like you can relate. You want to see that anyone can be a fashion model, not just tall, thin types. I hear you loud and strong. When this line debuts, I want you guys to help me send the message across social media that ANYONE can wear BODYPOP as long as you’re exuding confidence in yourself and you’re treating your body right. I’ll come up with a hashtag, maybe something like #everyBODYPOP or #BODYPOPreal…or how about you help me come up with something cool actually!!?? It takes more than one to make this change. Let’s do it together.

As you read at the beginning of my post, you now know that we wrapped the photoshoot but we haven’t wrapped the video shoot yet. The girls that we are working together with to create the music video can do crazy things with their bodies that literally freeze me with amazement every time I watch them.

Trust me, I’m gonna show you what real women can do. They are powerful, beautiful, and UNSTOPPABLE.

Eleven people were hanging on a rope, under a helicopter. 10 men and 1 woman.

The rope was not strong enough to carry them all, so they decided that one had to leave.

Because otherwise they were all going to fall.

They weren’t able to choose that person, until the woman gave a very touching speech.

She said that she would voluntarily let go of the rope, because, as a woman, she was used to giving up everything for her husband and kids or for men in general, and was used to always making sacrifices with little in return.

As soon as she finished her speech, all the men started clapping…

A married Irishman went into the confessional and said to his priest, “I almost had an affair with another woman.“

The priest said, “What do you mean, almost?“

The Irishman said, “Well, we got undressed and rubbed together, but then I stopped.“

The priest said, “Rubbing together is the same as putting it in. You’re not to see that woman again. For your penance, say five Hail Mary’s and put $50 in the poor box.”

The Irishman left the confessional, said his prayers, and then walked over to the poor box.

Pa moseys out to the outhouse, looks around, and yells back, “Ma! There ain’t nuthin wrong with the outhouse!”

Ma replies, “Stick yur head in the hole!”

Pa yells back, “I ain’t stickin my head in that hole!”

Ma says, “Ya have to stick your head in the hole to see what to fix.”

So with that, Pa sticks his head in the hole, looks around and yells back, “Ma! There ain’t nuthin wrong with this outhouse!”

Ma hollers back, “Now take your head out of the hole!”

Pa proceeds to pull his head out of the hole,then starts yelling, “Ma! Help! My beard is stuck in the cracks in the toilet seat!”

Ma replies, “Hurt’s, don’t it ?!”

For legendary singer Jennifer Lopez, this year has been one to forget so far. In addition to announcing last month that she and Ben Affleck had filed for divorce, 2024 has marked the end of their marriage. She also called off her scheduled North American tour before it had begun.

The awful news doesn’t end there, though, as some admirers have now declared her to be the Toronto Film Festival’s worst dressed person of this year. An abundance of A-list celebrities attended the awards ceremony last week.

Among them was JLo, who is presumably going through a difficult time in her life at the moment. For the event, the 55-year-old dressed like a disco ball and walked the red carpet with the intention of stunning everyone in her path.

She dazzled, for sure, but not everyone who saw her striking clothing seemed to be won over.

Although the On the Floor singer’s metallic Tamara Ralph outfit was eye-catching, not many people on the internet were commenting on it. On the other hand, a lot of people thought that Lopez was reduced to “worst dressed” after the shimmering performance, which showed off both sides of her body and was secured with black velvet bows.

Lopez, who co-wrote the film Unstoppable with Ben Affleck, attended the Toronto Film Festival to see the film’s premiere. Given everything that has been going on lately between him and Lopez, Affleck’s absence from the event was expected. It was said that he had other work commitments.

Although Lopez has never shied away from the spotlight, even she looked noticeable in the disco ball dress. The internet was flooded with comments as soon as she walked the red carpet, and not all of them were kind.

“[Definitely] a worst dressed winner 🏅,” one rather cruel user wrote.

“It’s really ridiculous I feel like she had no class with that dress😮😮😮😮😮,” another penned.

A third added: “Desperate times call for tacky dresses.”

A fourth chimed: “She needs to take revenge out on her stylist.”

“This dress was seriously inappropriate for the type of film that […] was being premiered. This was not it,” another user wrote.

“I admire her fitness and drive but she’s a mom and I don’t think this is appropriate apparel to wear. Personally, I don’t like this outfit. It has no color. Plus, how can anyone walk and move wearing that [?]” opined one person on Facebook.

As previously stated, Lopez filed for divorce a few weeks ago, capping months of rumors that her and Affleck’s union had soured. When the famous couple tied the knot in an unexpected Las Vegas wedding back in 2022, it seemed like a storybook finale for their romance, but it had been clear for some time that something was wrong.

Throughout the year, both parties have been spotted outside of their wedding bands, and there have been rumors that Affleck has moved out of their Beverly Hills marital residence. In the meanwhile, Lopez called off her scheduled North American tour, stating that she needed to spend more time with her family.
