Sometimes, as a leader, you have to hide your doubts…

…something this captain knows all too well.

A ship was sailing in a dangerous part of the sea. The captain saw a pirate ship approaching his ship.

The captain shouted to his crew, “Gentlemen, bring me my red shirt!”

The crew brought him his red shirt, he put it on, and led his men into battle. They lost one man, but all in all it was a great victory. Everyone wonders what the red shirt is, but they just shrug their shoulders.

A few days later, the captain sees two pirate ships in the distance.

He calls out again, “Men, bring me my red shirt!”

The crew does so and they fight the pirates. This time they lose a few more men, but at least most of them are unharmed.

The teacher asked the class to use the word “fascinate” in a sentence

Molly put up her hand and said, “My family went to my granddad’s farm, and we all saw his pet sheep. It was fascinating.”

The teacher said, “That was good, but I wanted you to use the word ‘fascinate,’ not ‘fascinating’.”

Sally raised her hand. She said, “My family went to see Rock City and I was fascinated.”

The teacher said, “Well, that was good Sally, but I wanted you to use the word ‘fascinate’.”

Little Johnny raised his hand, but the teacher hesitated because she had been burned by Little Johnny before. She finally decided there was no way he could damage the word “fascinate,” so she called on him.

Johnny said, “My aunt Carolyn has a sweater with ten buttons, but her tits are so big she can only fasten eight!”

The teacher sat down and cried.

Man Hears Crying Coming From Bushes – Takes A Closer Look And Gets Petrified

The beauty of life is in its uncertainty; at any given time, fate can paint sudden and dramatic changes on its canvas.

Happiness and sadness coexist here, and one’s fortunes might change as quickly as the wind.

The astonishing event that transpired for Ted Rutherford in the woods of Glen Burnie, Maryland, shows this reality, demonstrating how unexpected events may turn ordinary days into spectacular narratives.

A Shocking Turn of Events
Ted Rutherford had no idea that his life in July 2021 would take an extraordinary turn as he walked his dog through the tranquil woods.

Amid the calm of the woodland, nothing betrayed the impending shocking turn of events.

In an unexpected turn of events, Ted heard a strange noise coming from the bushes.

He initially thought it was the cry of a distressed animal, but upon investigating the source, he saw something that completely floored him.

An Earth-Shattering Discovery

Ted expected to find a hurt animal, but instead he came across a human baby hiding in the bushes!

The placenta and associated fluids traveled with the newborn daughter in a strange improvised sack secured around the umbilical cord.

As Ted realized the seriousness of the situation, his heart must have pounded.

This was an unbelievable discovery.

Ted, lost and confused, asked a passing stranger for advice.

They worked together to overcome the difficulty of removing the infant from the tangled underbrush.

After receiving the 911 call, officers from the Anne Arundel County Police Department rushed to the scene to save the infant.

A Ray of Sunshine Among the Clouds
The infant showed tremendous fortitude in the face of a traumatic start to her life. Her introduction to the world consisted of minor scratches from the thorns she was left among.

Paramedics transported her to the hospital, where her robust health served as a source of hope in the face of hardship.

What Ted found was a monument to the kindness of strangers and the unexpected beauty of life.

The bravery he showed on that tragic stroll exemplifies compassion and altruism at their finest.

Hearts Are Reunited
One encouraging fact arose amidst the unanswered uncertainties.

The mother of the infant, who had been reported missing, was located the next day.

This reunification represented the start of a journey for both mother and child, one that would be plagued with difficulties but may also bring about profound change.

The Silent Hero
Ted Rutherford was just a regular guy going about his way when he ended up saving the day.

The strength of human kindness is on display in his openness to the unexpected and his response to the call of compassion.

He gave a young child a second chance at life in a world where he could have easily turned away.

Please say a prayer for my family; we really need the fortitude.

The son-in-law and daughter Natalie of Missouri politician Ben Baker were murdered by thugs in Haiti.

Today, US Republican lawmaker Ben Baker learned that his daughter, a missionary, had died in Haiti.

She is said to have passed away concurrently with her spouse, Davy.

Baker said that his daughter Natalie, together with her companion Davy, were missionaries living in Haiti full-time.

The Missouri legislator posted on Facebook, saying, “My heart is broken in a thousand pieces.” I have never experienced such intense agony before.

My daughter Davy and her husband Natalie Lloyd are full-time missionaries in Haiti, as many in my town are aware.

“They were attacked by gangs this evening, and they were killed.” Together, the two of them entered Heaven.

“Please pray for my family; we really need it.” Remember to offer prayers for the Lloyd family as well. I have run out of things to say right now.

On social media, many individuals expressed their sorrow and sympathies.

“Oh Ben, my heart hurts for all of you,” someone commented. There are no words.

“I will continue to pray for each of you.” Sending you all lots of kisses.

A buddy remarked, “We are calling out your family’s name in prayer tonight.”

“We are so very sorry,” remarked a different individual.

ACCESSING A GANG
Major criminal gangs and those who support them have been engaged in a vicious gang war in Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti, since 2020.

It has been difficult for the Haitian government and security services to maintain control over the city. Up to 90% of the city was reportedly under the control of more than 200 gangs by the previous year.

People there struggle daily to survive.

Gang members incited unrest around the city in March in an attempt to get acting prime minister Ariel Henry to resign.

Gangs burst into two jails, releasing thousands of inmates, including Delmas 95 gang head Ti Greg. This ushered in a new chapter of bloodshed that almost drove Haiti to its knees.

Many were raped, burnt, or abducted, and hundreds of people were slain as opposing fighting gangs coordinated their attacks.

The US military evacuated diplomatic employees from the nation while the dead piled up in the streets and worked quickly to secure the embassy.

Numerous diplomats, including the German ambassador and US employees, evacuated the capital.

A curfew was imposed and a state of emergency was declared by the Haitian government. Acting prime minister Henry promised to resign as soon as a transitional administration was formed.

Henry’s departure became effective when Haiti’s transition government assumed power in April, and the nation began its efforts to return to a secure state.

However, there is still terror around the infamous warlord Jimmy “Barbecue” Cherizier.

It’s said that Barbecue, a homicidal ex-top officer, earned his moniker by burning his victims alive.

He has been terrorizing the city’s poorest neighborhoods for a long time as the boss of G9, the most violent gang in the capital.

Riders of motorcycles should do everything they can to stay safe while they’re on the road.

Last year, 306 motorcyclists were killed in accidents in the UK.

One tragic victim was only in his 20s when he died in a terrible accident in Dorset.

The motorcyclist from Weymouth was pronounced dead at the scene by Dorset Police, and his family was told soon after.

Too soon, it was taken. RIP. You will weep when you discover who he is.

See what transpired when a “death wish” driver struck a cab, killing two women and a baby, in this horrific footage.

After being asked to leave a bar with a friend for excessive drinking, 34-year-old Joe-Lewis Tyler drove a BMW 3 Series.

Tyler crashed a cab on Worcester’s Spetchley Road while driving erratically and fast due to his lack of insurance.

Tyler struck the vehicle shortly after 3 p.m. Six-year-old Leo Painter had just been picked up from school.

Both the 39-year-old Claire Adkins and the 26-year-old cab driver Courney Hemming perished at the spot while transporting Leo to his foster home.

Leo was rushed to the hospital immediately away, but his injuries proved fatal the following day.

Tyler was apprehended and tested at the crime scene. He tested positive for alcohol up to 215 mg/100 ml, over the 80 mg/100 ml legal limit.

His 159 milliliters, over twice the legal limit, were discovered during a routine test.

His blood also contained high concentrations of weed and cocaine.

Tyler entered a guilty plea to three charges of reckless driving resulting in death. After breaking his shin and requiring back surgery, he was admitted to the hospital and kept there for three weeks.

He was given an 18-year prison sentence at Worcester Crown Court today, May 8.

Judge James Burbidge KC claimed that Tyler had been “racing himself.” “It’s hard to think of a worse piece of prolonged driving,” he added.

In addition, Tyler admitted to three counts of killing someone while driving without insurance and one count of driving recklessly and gravely injuring someone.

Tyler earned £100 on the fruit machines at the West Midlands Tavern in Worcester, where he was spotted drinking with his friend Miles Smith-Green.

They drank four shots of Sambuca and Jagerbombs and five pints of lager before they were ejected from the pub for being too noisy.

They then jumped in the BMW and headed rapidly in the direction of Evesham, Badsey, and Worcestershire.

Another person claimed Tyler was traveling so quickly that she was “fearful for her safety,” while a third person claimed Tyler nearly struck her automobile at a speed of 100 mph.

She described the terrifying near miss as a “near death experience.”

Tyler was described as “driving like an idiot” and feeling “dead” by another person.

According to testimony given in court, Mr. Smith-Green, who was riding with him, also suffered severe injuries, including a dislocated hip and a ruptured spleen.

Tyler denied driving carelessly and claimed he “didn’t know how the accident happened,” according to prosecutor Simon Phillips.

Tyler’s attorney, Adam Western, stated that Tyler understood “he was to blame for the devastation he caused.” Tyler had a daughter who was six years old.

He said that individuals who are murdered or injured, together with their families, are the only ones who are victims.

Months before Leo passed away, his 28-year-old mother Gemma expressed her excitement about having her son back in the house.

After the sentence, she remarked, “After five months of hard work, I’m glad this is over.” Although he received justice, it is never enough. It will never be able to bring my adorable little baby back.

“I sincerely hope Tyler is able to acknowledge that he killed three innocent people.”

Leo’s father, Jason, expressed his disdain and anger against Tyler’s behavior. He added that he was left with “a massive void” in his life as a result of losing his son.

“Tyler’s selfish and careless actions on the afternoon of February 22 have left Leo, Courtney, and Claire’s family and friends forever heartbroken and the community shaken,” stated Officer-Chief Andy Wortley of the West Mercia Police.

“The length of the sentence he received is exceptional and demonstrates the extent of the harm he committed that day when operating a motor vehicle. I’m relieved that he will now serve a longer sentence in jail.

“Despite entering a guilty plea, Tyler hasn’t expressed regret or accepted accountability for his actions.”

How tragic! The loss is being mourned across the nation. You will cry when you realize who she is:

When her motorcycle collided with a car, a 28-year-old bride-to-be perished in a horrific accident. Her relatives are devastated.

The Kawasaki ZR motorbike Shelby Smith, 28, was riding in Long Newnton when it crashed, killing her. She was from Swindon.

The horrific collision occurred on the B4014 yesterday, shortly after 5:30 p.m.

Shelby was not spared from the collision, which occurred on the B4014 between Tetbury and Malmesbury, despite the fact that emergency personnel raced to the scene.

As they paid their respects to Shelby, her family sobbed and referred to her as “vibrant.”

In a heartfelt letter, the family said, “Shelby was full to the brim of dreams.”

Her family said she was a funny woman whose laugh brightened any night.

“Shelby was tragically taken from us at the age of 28,” the sentence stated.

“She was a sister, a fiancée, a friend, a niece, and a daughter.” She was radiant, full of life, love, and laughter.

The family stated that Shelby “was full of dreams for more adventures and travel and fiercely protective of her loved ones.”

“You couldn’t help but laugh with her because her laughter was so infectious and her smile could brighten even the gloomiest of nights.”

Shelby’s fearlessness and independence were evident in all she accomplished, and her friends and family pledged to continue her spirit of exploration.

“She departed from us way too quickly. They said, “She will be loved forever, missed terribly, and thought of every day.”

The family sent flowers in Shelby’s honor and expressed their gratitude to everyone who had supported them.

In addition, they want to be left in peace to process their “immeasurable grief.”

Everyone who had the pleasure of knowing Shelby will sincerely miss her.

Her family’s moving remembrance demonstrates the profound impact she had on everyone in her life. We lost her way too soon; she was “brighter than the sun.”

Friends and family have lovingly laid flowers at the collision site as a memorial to a young woman who was full of life and had a bright future ahead of her.

Police have been investigating the accident ever since it occurred.

We are asking anyone with information to come forward.

The hearts of those who adored Shelby Smith will always remember the star who passed away far too young.

It is imperative that motorcyclists take every precaution to ensure their safety when operating a motor vehicle.

The appalling number of motorcycle accidents in the UK last year was 306.

One horrific victim perished in a horrific accident in Dorset while he was only twenty years old.

The Weymouth motorcycle rider’s family was promptly informed that he had passed away at the scene by Dorset Police.

Today, the globally adored celebrity was discovered deceased.

Maurice Williams, lead singer of the band Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs, passed away. His age was eighty-six.

The hit song “Stay” by that vocalist appeared in the 1987 film “Dirty Dancing.”

The cause of the death is still a mystery to the public.

Maurice still lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he shared a home with his wife, Emily.

MAURICE’S OPERATION

The birthplace of this R&B vocalist is Lancaster, South Carolina. He founded The Royal Charms, his first band, when he was in his teens.

“Little Darlin,” the group’s first major song, came out in 1957. At the time, they were known as The Diamonds.

In 1959, he renamed the group as Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs.

Their doo-wop classic was Stay In. When it was released in 1960, it was the shortest song to reach number one on the Billboard singles chart.

The album Stay out of New York City was released by Herald Records and was distributed throughout the nation.

Maurice claims that the band “made a lot of records on local labels around home, and the guys who produced the talent show also produced them, so none of them worked.”

He claimed, “They recorded Stay, took it to New York, and shopped them up there with some more songs.”

“Stay is the song that best describes me.”

Maurice added that he originally performed the song’s falsetto section, but Shane Gaston ended up covering it.

Maurice remarked, “I sang it when I wrote it, but when we recorded it, I said we need somebody, because I don’t have a good falsetto.”

“When I went to Charlotte, I got Shane Gaston to audition with the group, sing it, and record it with us after hearing him sing.”

“He joined the group after saying he would do it,” he claimed.

The songs “May I,” “Come Along,” “Being Without You,” and “I Remember” are among the group’s other hits.

Maurice was inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2007.

He was admitted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame three years later.

Maurice was a pioneer of the rhythm and blues thanks to his extensive and prosperous career, which spanned more than 60 years.

My son and his wife shamed me for wearing red lipstick. I decided to teach them a lesson

At seventy-five, people often say you should embrace your “golden years,” take it easy, and “act your age.” But who exactly decides what that means? To me, it’s all about doing what makes you happy and feel alive. For me, that means wearing red lipstick. I’ve worn it for as long as I can remember; it’s fiery, bold, and unapologetic—the exact traits I’ve carried with me through my life. However, it seems like that’s no longer accepted, at least according to my son and his wife.

Yesterday, I was getting ready for a family meal, a gathering that didn’t promise to be like the usual ones I eagerly anticipated. As I carefully applied my favorite red lipstick shade, “Ruby Flame,” in my bedroom, my son Stephen suddenly barged in.

“Mom, you look like a desperate old clown trying to cling to youth,” he said, interrupting my thoughts. It wasn’t a joke, even though he smiled. The remarks were serious and stung deeply. I looked at him, hoping he’d realize how hurtful his words were, but he just stood there, waiting for me to remove the lipstick and, with it, a part of my identity. To make matters worse, his wife Sarah joined him, wearing a smug grin.

“Oh, I agree with Steph,” she chimed in. “Older women shouldn’t wear red lipstick. You should stick to what other people your age do.”

My heart raced, and my fury rose. Who was she to dictate what I should wear? What did she mean by “other people”? I’ve never followed the crowd, and I wasn’t going to start now.

“Honey, why don’t you mind your own business?” I said firmly. Her stunned reaction was priceless. She had no idea I would stand up for myself. “I’m sorry, Edith,” she stammered. “We just don’t want you looking like a clown.”

Think of the nerve! My gaze grew fierce, and my son looked confused between my stare and his wife’s uneasy laugh. His attempt to lighten the mood with “Okay, Mom, enjoy the circus,” left me even more furious. They left me standing alone, feeling hurt.

For about five minutes, I was deeply wounded. While staring at my reflection, I wondered if red lipstick was really too much for me. Should I conform to their idea of what a woman my age should look like? That sadness quickly transformed into anger. No, I wasn’t going to let them dictate my life. I was going to teach them a lasting lesson.

I stayed quiet for the next few days, not even mentioning the incident to my friends at our monthly bridge game. But inside, I was planning. They had hurt my pride, and I wasn’t going to let that slide.

The annual neighborhood block party was a week away, a perfect chance to make my point. It was a grand event with dressing up, a talent show, and even a small parade down the block. Over the next three days, I gathered everything I needed—materials from the craft store and an old outfit from my wardrobe. By the day of the block party, I was ready.

The sun was shining as I walked down the street towards the block party. I spotted Stephen and Sarah mingling with the neighbors, completely unaware of what was about to happen. As I approached, I had to suppress a grin.

“You made it, Mom!” Stephen shouted. But his eyes widened as he saw me. I was wearing a bright red dress that hugged my curves, a wide-brimmed red hat with a large feather, and dramatic makeup. I looked like a grand dame, demanding attention and unapologetic in my presence.

“Edith, what on earth are you wearing?” Sarah asked, her voice a mix of horror and confusion.

I smiled sweetly. “Oh, just a little project I put together. Thought I should embrace that ‘clown’ look you mentioned.” Stephen looked like he wanted to disappear. “Mom, this is…”

“Wonderful?” I finished for him. “Why, thank you, dear.”

The parade started before they could say more. I joined the other participants, and soon we were marching down the street to cheers and applause. I waved and blew kisses to the neighbors as I relished being the center of attention.

Throughout the parade, I saw Stephen and Sarah in the crowd, looking embarrassed and dismayed. They wanted me to blend into the background, but I took center stage. After the procession, I approached them near the punch bowl.

“You know,” I began, “I think you two could learn something valuable I discovered a long time ago.” They waited, curious. “Life is too short to live by anyone else’s rules. Whether it’s red lipstick or a red dress, I’ll do what makes me happy. If someone has a problem with that, it’s their problem, not mine.”

Stephen looked down, shuffling his feet. Sarah also looked visibly uncomfortable. Finally, he spoke, “Mom, we didn’t mean to hurt you. We just… didn’t think about how our words might affect you.”

I nodded, “Words matter. I know you meant no harm. It’s my job as your mother to remind you of that.”

There was a pause as my words sank in. Sarah was the first to speak. “Edith, you’re right. I apologize. I didn’t realize the importance of that lipstick to you.”

I softened and smiled, “It’s not just the lipstick. It’s about staying true to yourself, no matter what others think. You’ll understand that someday.”

Stephen hugged me. “Thanks, Mom. By the way, you looked amazing today.”

“Darn right, I did,” I replied with a wink.

The block party continued, and even after the initial shock of my bold arrival wore off, the lesson stayed. Stephen and Sarah became more reflective. I saw them thinking hard about what I had said.

As the sun set, I sat on a bench watching the kids play. Sarah and Stephen approached me again. “Mom,” Stephen began softly, “we’ve been talking. We’re sorry for making you feel like you had to change who you are.”

Sarah nodded, “We were too focused on our own views to consider your feelings. We’ve always admired your strength and confidence.”

Touched by their sincerity, I felt my heart warm. “Thank you,” I said. “It means the world.”
