Ever found yourself scrutinizing the expiration date on your food, debating whether it’s safe to consume that slightly overdue carton of milk or package of chicken? It’s time to demystify those dates. According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), expiration dates are more guidelines for quality rather than hard-and-fast safety deadlines.
Understanding Food Date Labels
Food packages often display terms like “Best if Used By,” “Use By,” and “Sell By,” leading to confusion and unnecessary food waste. These labels primarily indicate the period during which the food is expected to be at its optimal quality and flavor, rather than the point after which it becomes unsafe. Here’s a quick breakdown:
Spotting Spoilage
While many items are safe past their labeled dates, visible mold, unpleasant smells, odd textures, or bad tastes are unmistakable signs of spoilage. Trusting your senses is often more reliable than relying on printed dates.
Preventing Waste Through Proper Storage
Minimizing food waste starts with correct storage. Keep your fridge below 40°F (4°C) and your freezer at 0°F (-18°C). Use airtight containers to protect food quality and extend its life.
In summary, food expiration dates offer a guideline for quality rather than a strict safety threshold. By understanding label meanings, properly storing food, and trusting our senses, we can reduce food waste while ensuring our meals are both delicious and safe. So, think twice before discarding that day-past-due condiment—it may still be perfectly good to enjoy
Street Outlaws star Lizzy Musi dies with her family by her side after a year-long battle with stage 4 breast cancer
A street racer named Lizzy Musi has died after being told she had stage-four breast cancer, according to her father.
Mooresville, North Carolina’s Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings star told everyone about her diagnosis last year, which meant she had to leave the show.
In a Facebook post, Musi’s famous dad Pat said, “Surrounded by her family and in the comfort of her own home, Lizzy was called to heaven at 11:25 pm tonight.”
“Thank you for all your prayers and help during her illness.
At this point, the family would like to be left alone to deal with their grief and make plans.
“We will give an update as soon as we have information to share.”
Women and girls looked up to the racer after she won three straight episodes of Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings in 2019.
With a time of 3.802 seconds, she was also the first woman to go faster than 200 mph in eighth-mile doorslammer racing.
Back in July 2014, Lizzy Musi made more history when she won a Pro Nitrous national event at the Professional Drag Racers Association US Drags. She was the first woman to do so.
A 33-year-old racer who was honest about having stage 4 triple-negative breast cancer, which is one of the most aggressive types of breast cancer, has received a lot of praise.
Musi was still hopeful about her health, even though the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes and liver.
She told everyone in Germany last month that she had “great news” while she was getting treatment for cancer.
Even though the driver didn’t say more, she had already said that she was going to the Medias Klinikum treatment center in Burghausen, Germany.
Last month, Lizzy told Drag Illustrated, “I’ve pretty much tried everything here in the US, and I’ve looked into the doctor and treatment in Germany that can separate my liver and treat it.”
One fan wrote under Pat’s post, which was shared on Musi’s Facebook page, “This just hurts my heart.”
“She gave young girls a lot to think about. It was fun to watch her race.”
“One of the best female racers,” said someone else.
“Younger people were so inspired by how positive and happy she was.” This is so unbelievable.
We’re sorry for her family’s loss. Run fast, Lizzy, up in heaven.”
LOVER OF MY LIFE
This year, Musi publicly thanked her boyfriend Jeffrey Earnhardt, who is the grandson of famous Nascar driver Dale Earnhardt, for always being there for her.
“This guy right here has supported me like no other from sleepless ER nights and dealing with my health to cheering me on at my races,” Musi wrote on the app.
“He did insanely well when I got to see him play this past weekend after a long off-season. @jearnhardt1 #thankful #unique #howloveshouldfeel”
They started going out together after she broke up with racecar driver Kyle Kelley in late 2023.
A touching Facebook post from January by Musi revealed some details about her relationship with Earnhardt.
“I found a man when I least expected it, on top of going through the worst time in my life… it didn’t phase him and he has loved me unconditionally since,” said she.
“No hair…disease or not, he’s seen me at my worst…” Getting calls telling me how strong and beautiful I am; talking on FaceTime without my wig on and still getting compliments… I’m immensely grateful for you, Jeffrey Earnhardt.
Millions of people on Instagram have called Earnhardt their “soulmate” and thanked him for “loving her the way she deserved” until the end.
People have sent Earnhardt their condolences, but she hasn’t said anything public about her death yet.
He gave an update on Musi’s return to racing at the end of April, after she raced at Virginia Motorsport Park in her ’69 Camaro named Bonnie.
According to her partner, she and the team were “firing on all cylinders.”
FREAK OUT
Musi died just two months after Nathan Schaldach, better known as Cali Nate, who also played Nathan on Street Outlaws.
The accident that killed Nate happened in southwest Texas on April 6.
He crashed his car while racing in Eagle Pass, which is about two hours west of San Antonio.
The racer died from his injuries even though he was taken to the hospital.
The news was confirmed by his girlfriend Courtney Paulshock, who wrote a sad post on Facebook about how she felt “shattered” after losing “her person.”
Musi praised her coworker and called him a “hell of a guy.”
The actress wrote on Instagram, “Hard to wrap my mind around this one.”
“We all know what the risk is when we get in these cars.”
When we filmed the street shows in Vegas and Cali, I got to race with Nate.
“Trustworthy street racer and great guy!” Say “Godspeed”
When asked about Nate and Paulshock’s relationship, Musi asked his fans to pray for his girlfriend who was hurting.
“Please keep my good friend @c_paulshockphotography in your thoughts and prayers!” She went on.
“I know how deeply they loved each other and how they couldn’t be apart.” This really hurts my feelings.”
Former first lady Melania Trump captivated the crowd at Mar-a-Lago during a celebration honoring Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. She made a grand entrance, gracefully greeting the spectators as the iconic tune of “Pretty Woman” filled the air.Several audience members captured the scene, sharing candid shots online and in a video shared by Orbán. The video showcased his visit on Friday to meet with Melania and former President Donald Trump. The enduring bond between the two conservative leaders remains strong, even in the years following Trump’s departure from the White House.
Melania accompanied President Trump to the front of the room, positioning herself in front of the velvet rope line as he greeted people and Orbán received the bouquet from an aide. Melania briefly paused for a photo. President Trump discussed his connection with Orbán during the Heritage Foundation meeting, acknowledging Hungary’s prominent leader for his firm tactics in maintaining parliamentary order and earning the admiration of the electorate.
“There’s no one quite like Viktor Orbán,” Trump declared confidently as he took the stage. “His leadership qualities are truly remarkable,” he continued, clearly impressed. and excels at their work. He’s a decisive figure who firmly states how things will be, leaving no room for debate. He is highly regarded worldwide. We are delighted to have you as part of our team, Viktor. Reflecting on his journey, Orbán expressed on X, “Advocating for families, addressing illegal migration, and defending the sovereignty of our nations.” This serves as the shared foundation for collaboration between the conservative factions of Europe and the United States. President Trump was known for his efforts to promote peace during his presidency. He earned widespread respect in the world, which allowed him to foster an environment conducive to peace. Melania has been actively involved in President Trump’s 2024 campaign, making appearances at a naturalization ceremony to share her personal journey towards citizenship and offering suggestions for potential vice presidential candidates to her husband. She has also played a stabilizing role in Trump’s life, encouraging him to join her and their young son Baron for breakfast every morning and limit his consumption of cable news. The family has grown even more united after the passing of her mother Amalija Knavs in early January. President Trump acknowledged Knavs’ role in raising a wonderful daughter and devoted mother to Baron by sharing a post one day after her passing. “She was an extraordinary woman, and her absence will be deeply felt,” he expressed at the time.
“I brought my daughter into the world and took her out of it.”
As I held Deborah’s hand as she took her last breath, I was both sad and relieved. My beautiful whirlwind of a girl was gone, and so was her pain.
It’s hard to be a mom to a dead child every day, but tomorrow is especially hard.
Even though one of my children has died, I’ll always be a mom of three. But today, I’m thinking about my 16-year-old and 14-year-old grandchildren, Hugo and Eloise, who have lost their wonderful mother.
It’s not okay for them to send her a card or gift or just let her hug them.
Today, like every day for the past 21 months, all I can do is love them and be there for them.
Five and a half years after being told she had bowel cancer, my oldest daughter, Dame Deborah James, died. She was 40 years old.
It’s still hard to believe that the world has gone on without her. She was such a force of nature from the time she was a little girl.
Deborah was diagnosed in December 2016, when she was 35 years old and had two kids, ages 9 and 7.
She was a healthy, active young woman who didn’t smoke or eat meat. But she was losing weight, having bloody stools, and feeling tired.
At first, it was thought to be stress or IBS, so hearing that she had bowel cancer was very upsetting.
But I thought she would have surgery and chemotherapy and then be fine again soon.
There were more tests and a few weeks passed before I was shocked to hear that the cancer was in its fourth stage.
Deborah was brave and determined, which didn’t surprise me at all; that was just how she was.
She didn’t just want to deal with her own illness; she also wanted to help other people.
She wanted to shout from the rooftops about cancer, its symptoms, and how important it is to pay attention to your body.
“She wished the world were a better place for her kids.”
She started writing a column for The Sun and started the Bowelbabe blog soon after she was told she had cancer.
After that, she co-hosted the popular podcast You, Me, and the Big C, worked with The Sun to lower the NHS screening age, encouraged people to get checked, and talked about poop whenever she could.
Her kids were the most important thing in her life. To make things better for Hugo and Eloise, she wished. She pictured a time when they wouldn’t have to worry about getting cancer.
The Bowelbabe Fund, one of her biggest and last projects, was based on that idea.
In the weeks before she died, she set it up to pay for cancer research and help find new ways to treat the disease.
She knew her time was running out, so she gave it everything she had.
That being said, Deborah’s legacy is much bigger than the work she did and the lives she saved and still saves.
The best thing she gave us all was advice on how to live.
I see this in her children: she made the most of every day and found joy in every little thing. Her passion and energy are shared by both of them.
She told them to live a good life the weekend before she died.
She said, “You never know when life will end, so enjoy every moment.” I also try to remember that mantra.
I tend to put things off and save the best things for “holidays and high days.” Deborah is going to yell at me! She was the exact opposite; she’d wear her favorite dresses for no reason.
Since she died, I’ve tried to keep that brave, positive attitude.
I dress up for no reason, I now wear sparkly earrings like she did, and I try to enjoy each moment more. It makes me feel closer to her.
“I hated that I couldn’t ease her pain.”
Deborah was told she probably wouldn’t make it through the next year when she was first told she had bowel cancer.
I had a hard time understanding it. I don’t understand how I could lose my daughter in just a few months.
Deborah beat the odds over and over again, though, thanks to treatment and her own inner strength.
She went through a lot, including having her bowel removed, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and many combinations of strong drugs. She wouldn’t give up.
In March 2022, on our last Mother’s Day together, she was very sick but still planned to come to my house for lunch.
That day is one I will always remember. I really didn’t think it would be our last together because she always got better.
In May 2022, Deborah left The Royal Marsden Hospital after being told there was nothing else doctors could do and she only had days to live. That’s when I had to face my biggest fear.
As her mom, I felt like I couldn’t do anything. I felt terrible that I couldn’t ease her pain.
As a result, she moved in with us. We spent seven weeks with her, which was a wonderful time for all of us.
She planned movie nights and threw an unplanned engagement party for her 33-year-old brother Ben and his fiancée. After Buckingham Palace announced she was a dame, Prince William even came over for tea.
It was a strange time, full of love and both sadness and happiness. I will always remember it.
Deborah and I both couldn’t sleep, so most nights we stayed up together. We were both afraid she might not wake up.
We talked for a long time. I told her she was strong and promised to be there for her kids.
It was like getting my baby back; my dying daughter used to depend on me as a child. We couldn’t be apart, and our love for each other grew stronger.
I had her hand in mine when she passed away. After everything she had been through, I’m glad her last moments were peaceful.
I was high on adrenaline for the first year after she died. I did everything I could to help Deborah’s 44-year-old husband Seb and their kids.
I kept busy to take my mind off of how bad things were, but I didn’t really deal with my grief.
When her death anniversary came around, I had terrible panic attacks that made it impossible for me to leave the house.
Everything had caught up with me, and I was both physically and mentally worn out.
Even though I didn’t want to take them at first, I was given antidepressants. But talking about Deborah and looking at pictures of her also helps me feel better.
I felt better at the beginning of this year. Last month was Sarah’s 40th birthday, and in April, my son Ben is getting married.
We miss Deborah a lot on these important days, but we know she would want us to enjoy them for her.
Deborah is no longer with us, but her spirit lives on in her family, especially her children, and in the work she did to raise awareness and funds.
Carol Bongiovi, Jon Bon Jovi’s mother, passed away just days before her birthday. The singer described her as a “force to be reckoned with.”
Carol Bongiovi, Jon Bon Jovi’s mother, died three days before her 83rd birthday. After Carol’s passing on Tuesday at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey, Jon, 62, shared heartfelt words about her.
“Our mother was a force to be reckoned with, her spirit and can-do attitude shaped this family,” Jon told PEOPLE. “She will be greatly missed.” Carol, who was once a Playboy bunny, founded the fan club for her son’s band. In 1959, she joined the U.S. Marine Corps, where she met John Bongiovi, Sr., her future husband.
They raised their children in Sayreville, New Jersey, before moving to Holmdel, New Jersey, where Carol remained until her death. Carol’s funeral will be private, and organized by Holmdel Funeral Home. She is survived by her husband of 63 years and their three children, Jon, Anthony, and Matthew.
Jon has previously shared that his parents provided “incredible support” during his childhood as he pursued his dream of becoming a singer. He told The Big Issue in November 2020, “Even if you weren’t good at your craft, you could work on it if you thought you were.”
“As I got older, I saw what a great gift my parents gave me. They truly believed that John F. Kennedy was telling them to go to the moon. ‘Of course, you can go to the moon.’ John, just go. I went there.” The musician recounted how his parents would take him to shows when he was 17, allowing him to follow his dreams.“They were always supportive of me, which in retrospect, was incredible,” he said. “Because I could get home at one or two in the morning and still have to be at school at eight o’clock.”
“They just said, show up on time for school, you know that is your responsibility, but pursue your dream.” Jon is married to his high school sweetheart, Dorothea Hurley. They have four children: Stephanie, 31, and three sons, Jesse, Jake, and Romeo. The Sun reported that Jake married Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown in a small, private ceremony in May 2024. Both Jon and Millie’s parents attended the intimate wedding. Earlier, Jon expressed his excitement about the wedding to The Sun, saying, “My grandchildren will be more English than Italian or any of my other roots! That’s crazy, right?” “All of a sudden, your kids are married and talking to you about having grandchildren… wow! This is the longest chapter in my book.”
Adrián Olivares, who used to be in the boy band Menudo, has died.
He was 48 years old.
His family, friends, and bandmates from Menudo confirmed his death on Monday night.
A GoFundMe page set up by Adrián’s family and friends says he died suddenly on Monday. He had been diagnosed with Crohn’s disease last week.
Ulcerative colitis made the disease even worse.
“If you would please consider donating anything you can, it would be greatly appreciated as the family does not have the means to give Adrian his final farewell and help these girls with all their necessary expenses,” it said.
“Any money given will go to his mother, Natasha…” Please fly high, Adrian. We love you!
In 1990, Adrián joined the Latin band Menundo as its 23rd member. This was about 20 years after the band’s formation.
In 1993, when she was 16, the singer quit the band after only three years.
His time with the group was memorable, though, because albums like 15 Años, Detras Tu Mirada, and Dancin’, Movin’, Shakin’ came out during that time.
Adrián most recently started Wynwood Podcasting, a multimedia studio in Miami, Florida. He also owned and ran Antenna Sound Inc.
Also, he was in the Max miniseries Forever Young.
Adrián has three daughters: Eliana, 18, Lia and Lilly, twins, 8, and Lia, 14.
Robert Avellanet, who was in Menudo with Adrián in the 1990s, and other former bandmates wrote about his death on Instagram.
“I’m still shocked!” Robert wrote next to a picture of Adrian when he was younger.
“Strength to his family.” I hope your soul has a smooth journey. I will always remember how funny he was. Brother, we’ll meet there. Adrian, rest in peace.
This was also written on social media by Sergio Blass, who used to be in the same band.
“Fly high, little brother, and have a strong family…” “With your unmatched charm, you were always mature for your age,” the musician wrote.
“You will always be one of the good ones and you will always live in our hearts.”
Eliana, Adrián’s daughter, wrote a sad tribute to him on Instagram.
“I don’t know what to say. I will always love you, dad. “You’ve taught me love, strength, and many other things I wouldn’t have known without you,” she said.
“I still can’t believe you’re not here. I miss you so much and wish I could hug you or tell you I love you.”
“You’re the best dad a girl could ask for.” Thanks for being my guardian angel. I know that God has you in his care. “I love you always, dad.”
Sylvia Campos, who used to date the singer, also wrote a touching tribute on Facebook.
You were a great man, singer, son, brother, friend, but most of all a GREAT DAD. My beautiful Adriancito, you will always be in my heart. I was lucky to share such a beautiful love with you. May the way you go be bright. “I will always love you,” she wrote.
OTHER MENUDO DEATHS
After Adrián’s death, Ray Reyes, who used to be in Menudo, died of a heart attack in 2021.
It was 51 years old for the Puerto Rican musician.
At the time, Ray’s brother posted on Facebook that he had died and asked fans to give the family some space.
“It is with great pain in my soul that I confirm the death of my beloved brother, Ray Reyes,” he said.
“Please give us some space while we figure out what to do. Also, please pray for our family, especially my very fragile mother.” Also, please never forget what he left behind.
Tony Galindo, another former bandmate, died the year before, in 2021. He was 41 years old.
His death seemed to have something to do with an earlier suicide attempt. He was depressed because of how the COVID-19 pandemic affected the music business.
A statement from Anthony’s family also came out about his death.
Melanie, a singer who had hits in the 1970s with “Brand New Key” and “Lay Down (Candles in the Rain),” died Tuesday.
She will be missed. She was 76 years old.
In a post on Wednesday, her children, Leilah, Jeordie, and Beau Jarred, told everyone about it. No one knows what killed her, but in their statement, her reps said she had been “ill.”
“This post was the hardest for us to write because we have so many things to say. There’s no easy way to say them all however…” “Mom peacefully crossed over from this world to the next on January 23, 2024,” her children wrote.
To remember their mom, they asked fans to light a candle on Wednesday at 10 p.m. Central time.
“She was one of the smartest, bravest, and most passionate women of her time, and it showed in everything she wrote and sang,” they wrote. “Without her, our world is much darker, and the colors of a dull, rainy Tennessee are washed out. But we know she is still here, smiling down at us from the stars.”
Melanie, whose real name was Melanie Safka, was making a new record with cover songs not long ago. Cleopatra, her record label, said that the album, called Second Hand Smoke, would have been her 32nd.
Melanie played at Woodstock when she was 22 years old. She told the AP in 2019 that she was scared to play at the music festival in front of hundreds of thousands of people. Other artists performing there included Joan Baez, Jimi Hendrix, and the Grateful Dead. She said she was getting more and more anxious as she waited hours to perform.
She said, “The fear kept building up in me.” “It scared me to think about performing in front of all those people on that big stage by myself.” After that, it started to rain, and I was sure that everyone would leave. There’s rain outside, I’m free, and I’ll go back to my old life. I might become an archaeologist or join the Peace Corps. “They told me, ‘You’re next,’”
Melanie was born in Astoria, New York, on February 3, 1947. While she was trying to become a singer, she went to school at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. In Greenwich Village, she set up shows at coffee shops and folk clubs. In 1967, she met Peter Schekeryk, who would become her manager, producer, and husband.
Two singles, “Beautiful People” and “Garden in the City,” were released by Columbia Records. But, according to her reps, Clive Davis wouldn’t let her record an album, so she left Columbia Records for Buddah Records, which put out her first album. Woodstock, on the other hand, was her big break.
Her first big hit in the U.S. was “Lay Down.” Then came “Peace Will Come,” “What Have They Done to My Song Ma,” “The Nickel Song,” and a cover of the Rolling Stones’ “Ruby Tuesday.” Billboard named her the best-selling female artist in the U.S. that year.
Her reps say that when she started her own record label, Neighborhood Records, it was the first independent rock label owned by a woman. The world’s best-selling single, “Brand New Key,” was her first release for Neighborhood. A commercial for HP printers brought the song to the attention of new people a few years ago.
Melanie became a UNICEF spokesperson and kept putting out albums until her husband Michael died in 2010. She did, however, often perform live with her children and record and produce shows of their home concerts for the Internet.
Some of the songs she covers on her new album are “Ouija Board Ouija Board” by Morrissey and “Hurt” by Nine Inch Nails.
Read the whole post from her kids below.
A message from Beau Jarred, Leilah, and Jeordie
To All of You,
We’re having a hard time writing this post because we have so many things we want to say first. There’s no easy way. On January 23, 2024, mom peacefully left this world and went to the next.
We are so sad, but we want to thank all of you for how much you loved our mother and tell you that she died loving all of you. Every word she wrote and every note she sang showed that she was one of the smartest, strongest, and most passionate women of her time.
Today, her absence has made our world much darker, and the colors of Tennessee’s gray and rainy days are less vivid. But we know that she is still here, smiling down at us from the stars.
We ask that each of you light a candle tonight, January 24th, at 10 p.m. central time, in Melanie’s honor. Lift them up high, high, high again. Light up the darkness, and let’s all remember the amazing woman who was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to a huge number of people.
We are planning a Celebration of Life for Mom, and anyone who wants to come can. As soon as the details are set, they will be shared. We hope to see you there.
Right now, please give her family some space to grieve, remember her, and figure out how to get through this crazy world without her.
Upon your next visit to TJ Maxx, Marshalls, or HomeGoods, you may notice an employee wearing a body cam.
Seem strange? The goal of the initiative, according to TJX Companies, the parent firm of the stores, is to protect both workers and consumers.
In a statement to Boston 25 News, a corporate representative stated, “Body cameras are just one of the many ways that we work to support a safe store environment.” This covers a wide range of guidelines, instruction, and practices. With the use of these body cameras, we intend to reduce the intensity of events, discourage crime, and show our associates and consumers how seriously we take shop safety.
The cameras would only be worn by personnel with training.

Body cameras make sense for stores like TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and HomeGoods, according to retail analyst Carol Spieckerman, who discussed the decision with the Boston Globe despite the fact that it might be viewed as controversial.
“It’s a really successful model; part of what drives more frequent trips is this unpredictable, treasure-hunt environment where you never know what’s going to be there tomorrow,” the spokesperson added. However, it also implies that maintaining inventories could occasionally be more challenging.

While it’s not yet known when the cameras will be turned on, TJX said the company will share video footage only when requested by law enforcement or in response to a subpeona.
What do you think about this new safety measure? Is it too much or do you think it will make shopping safer?
Blake Shelton wrote a touching tribute to his friend Joe Bonsall after his death.
From 1973 to 2024, Joe played in the country and gospel band The Oak Ridge Boys.
The 48-year-old Blake shared a picture of himself singing on stage with The Oak Ridge Boys on Tuesday.
No one knows for sure when and where the picture was taken.
“I’m so sad to hear about the death of my friend Joe Bonsall,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories.
“I’ve NEVER seen Joe when he wasn’t smiling and completely full of life.”
Blake went on, “He loved singing more than anyone I’ve ever met.”
“His family and his @theoakridgeboys brothers are in my thoughts and prayers.” Today we lost a very important person.
Blake put out the song “Doing It to Country Songs” with The Oak Ridge Boys in 2016.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, which is also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, led to his death.
ALS is a neuromuscular disease that can’t be cured. It affects the body’s voluntary muscles.
Fans found out about the singer’s diagnosis in January 2024, four years after he had been sick.
His wife was named Mary Ann, and he had two daughters named Jennifer and Sabrina. He also had two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A family spokesperson said in a press release, “Joseph is also the author of 11 books, including his most recent, a memoir called I See Myself, which comes out in November.”
“He loved running the farm.” He also loved the Philadelphia Phillies. It said, “But Jesus and his family always came first, and we will see him again on the Promised Day.”
During the news of his diagnosis, Joe said he was leaving the band.
TIMES WITH THE BAND
The Oak Ridge Boys are made up of Joe, William Lee Golden, Richard Sterban, and Duane Allen.
Elvira, Come On In, Leaving Louisiana In The Broad Daylight, and Bobbie Sue are some of the band’s best-known songs.
In 2015, The Oak Ridge Boys were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. They won five Grammy Awards.
Neither of the current band members is a member from the beginning.
“Joe really liked to sing. He liked to read a lot. He liked writing a lot. He really liked playing the banjo.
Formed the band were Curly Kinsey, Lon “Deacon” Freeman, Wally Fowler, and Little Johnny New.
The Oak Ridge Boys are on tour right now with American Made: The Farwell. The show runs until December 8.
A blonde, a brunette, and a redhead show up for the same job interview.
The brunette is the first one to go in, and after filling out the forms and going through the questions, the interviewer decides to ask her last question:
“How many D’s are there in “INDIANA JONES?”
The brunette thinks for a second and responds “One.”
The interviewer sends her back with a promise that he’ll get back to her after he had interviewed the remaining candidates.
The redhead is next. The process goes about the same, and at the end: “How many D’s are there in INDIANA JONES?” She immediately says “One.” The interviewer says, “OK, we’ll let you know.”
Then the blonde comes into the room, goes through the questions, and finally gets asked: “How many D’s are there in INDIANA JONES?”
She gets a very serious look on her face and starts counting her fingers, muttering: “2, 4, 6 …., hmmm wait,… 2, 4, 6 …. can I borrow your calculator please?”
After going through 15 minutes of intense calculating, she finally comes up with the answer: “Thirty two”
The interviewer is stunned and asks her: “Ok, now tell me, how the hell did you arrive at this answer?”
“Simple… Daaaa da da daaaa daaaa da daaaa… Daaaa da da daaa daa da daaaa da da… sing along now you remember it”
