Lisa Loring was only six years old when she became a star. She was cast on the television show, The Addams Family, and suddenly, her stage name, Wednesday, was a household name.

Unfortunately, the actress’s friend, Laurie Jacobson went on Facebook to let us know that Lisa Loring had suffered a stroke and died at the age of 64.

Lisa was known best for her role as Wednesday on the Addams family but she continued to act in other movies throughout her life.

When posting the news on Facebook, Jacobson wrote: “It is with great sadness that I report the death of our friend, Lisa Loring. 4 Days ago she suffered a massive stroke brought on by smoking and high blood pressure. She had been on life support for 3 days. Yesterday, her family made the difficult decision to remove it and she passed last night.” Jacobson shared that she remembers Loring as “beautiful, kind, a loving mother” and she had “a wealth of humor, affection and love.”

Loring’s agent also spoke to CBS with the statement, saying that she was surrounded by her family when she died. He also said: “Lisa was a very loving mother, grandmother and friend with a lifetime of amazing stories and experiences. She brought to life one of the most iconic characters in Hollywood history that is still celebrated today. Lisa loved sharing her memories and meeting all her fans across the world. She will be missed dearly.”

Vanessa Foumberg, her daughter said that she died in Burbank, California at the hospital. She said that the death was caused by complications from a stroke caused by high blood pressure.

She also said that she went peacefully with both her daughters holding her hands.
